Dedicating time for a book is when you know you’re in it for the long haul with this author. And for Ella Frank I would truly drop everything to grab her next release and fall into my comfort wormhole without question.
Wicked Flame has been on my mind since I finished Wicked Heat and it did Ryan and Jameson justice beyond my words could ever say.
We pick up the story where we left off and so there’s a lot of emotions heightened where we are at. Ella pulls us into the world once again with ease that I don’t notice the time flying by as I flick past every page.
Ryan and Jameson have a few external factors against them but as those issue grow it only pulls them closer together towards a happy ending neither believed was ever going to be possible.
Ryan inflitrating Jameson’s life and showing him he’s not going anywhere is forever one of my favourite things. But more than that, the acceptance in Jameson and watching his growth to allow himself to be taken care of and loved by someone how he never had is what made me want to shed a few tears while reading!
And as always Ella leaves us with huge smiles from ear to ear despite the emotion pakced moments. We also get to meet old friends, hey Gabe and Xander! It’s fun seeing them from Ryan’s point of view and watching this made family grow once again!
There is no greater comfort for me than when I’m back in the Chicagoverse world. They are old friends and family. The love and care they all have for each other shines so bright and makes you feel apart of their world.
Truly I could yammer on and on about how amazing Ella’s writing is, the one lines get me every time whether it’s a swoon, laugh or cry. Every book from Ella is consistent in how you will feel, like you found home. Thanks for bringing me back home Ella, I’ve missed reading and being around characters that deserve nothing but the world!
