Devil’s Kiss by Ella Frank

Devil’s Kiss, another heart warming read from Ella Frank.

After meeting Jordan and Derek in Finely I was curious to see what their history was and how their story would pave out.

The prologue had me so hooked that I wept seeing Chapter 1 jumped to the past, but I trust Ella to provide me the story that is going to be justice to these characters so I persevered on.

Derek has to take a class as part of his studies it just so happens to be Jordan’s. It’s not for long but it’s long enough for them to form this strong emotional attachment that they’re not even aware of.

Jordan and Derek have a connection and their banter is hilarious but it’s their hearts that warm my soul the most.

Jordan may be a style icon but he’s also unafraid to say what he thinks, just as much as Derek is. Yet he still holds up a barrier in place no matter how much their lives end up intertwining.

Derek doesn’t have the greatest home life and when it starts to affect the rest of his life, he seeks support in the one person he shouldn’t. Jordan welcomes him with open arms and they form a friendship that stays strong over the years.

Their long journey was enthralling to read and I craved for when their timelines would collide to have it be so much more as the layers within each character were itching to unveil.

Ella Frank does this story justice, it was fun to see old characters and meet someone new – talking to you Dylan Prescott!

What do you do when the one you least expect to matter…

Ends up mattering the most?

Derek Pearson likes to think he’s an easygoing guy. Uncomplicated, upfront, and unapologetic with what he wants. His what you see is what you get attitude is on prominent display for anyone who cares to look, and his foul mouth is right there to back it up should you miss the point.

However, what you see isn’t always what you get, and only a select few have ever glimpsed the real man under the brash exterior.

Among them? Professor Jordan Devaney. Complicated, high-maintenance, and vibrant, he’s Derek’s opposite in every way. From the moment they saw each other, a love-hate relationship began.

But what happens when one person wants more?
