Ella Frank is spectacular at being able to diversify her writing in style. There was a heap lot of emotional connection within Finley that I didn’t expect but enjoyed nonetheless.

Finely, follows Daniel Finely the lawyer we meet shortly in Temptation Series. He isn’t afraid to say what he wants or go for it, and his character most certainly doesn’t change here.

However there’s a side to him that we don’t know. A side of his past that comes to the forefront when it comes calling.

He heads back home to Florida and the past that he never wanted to run from is at his doorstep. He’s open to see what it wants and if things could be as they once were. Yet he has boundaries in place from being hurt once before by the one man he’s only ever wanted, Brantley Hayes.

Brantley Hayes was a surprise too, I didn’t see Daniel falling for such a man but as their story came alive on the pages it’s hard to not know they were made for each other.

They have two weeks to live in peace but what happens when time runs out? Only time will tell unless the rug is pulled first.

I loved the way the flashbacks interwove in this story bringing it to life. We also have new secondary characters to fall in love with that tease the next book. Along with a visit from old characters that brought a smile to my face.
