My first ever read by Brooke Blaine and ah it was so much fun! I’m a sucker for a romance with a little action and drama so this story was the perfectly wrapped package.

Katherine’s life is in danger so her Justice Supreme father assigns her bodyguards for protection. Enter Jason Garrett, broody, focused and committed to work not willing to allow anyone to intervene.

He’s got a lock and key on how to do his job and no matter the client, even as beautiful as Katherine, won’t let him drop the façade. Except when it does.

This is a bodyguard romance, with a touch slow burn I’d say as we get to learn more about both Katherine and Garrett as their relationship develops and the chemistry grows.

There’s a lot of suspense and I loved the altering POVs, along with the first person chapters from the actual mystery threat!

I can’t fault this read as it is a bundle of addiction, as Garrett tries to keep protecting Katherine she makes things a little difficult at first but soon lets him in. As he sees her friendships fizzle and reignite, he’s the one standing character to be a shoulder to lean on.

I loved this story and if you’re in the mood for some action, drama and romance, this is for you!
