A heartfelt story about finding love and facing your insecuries. Also showing that sometimes waiting for things can be worth it in the end.
Jackson Spearmen requires a temporary assistant while his goes on maternity leave. She’s set him up with a virtual assistant with an agency.
Enter Amy aka Emmeline Lancaster, she’s intelligent and bright and witty and the perfect assistant to Jackson. He’s short and has trust issues, that she can understand but she pushes him to open up and be better.
What’s more fun than Jackson and Amy building a virtual friendship of sorts – oh only them both actually meeting each other in person and dating!
I loved how the story plays out, with it being real and true. There’s no room for any mishaps because they’re both so closed off, it’s something they’re both working on and unintentionally with their virtual and in person relationship it forces them to bloom a deep relationship they don’t even see coming.
It’s clever and witty, I loved the emails, texts, phone calls and even in person moments. Everything about this novel was fun but also heartfelt. In laymen’s terms it’s a book about finding love and finding someone who loves every part of you despite your insecurities being at the forefront.
I loved it and it’s totally one of those classy, makes your heart all fuzzy romances! A must read and absolutely not my last Claudia read!
