Bossman, well well where do I begin! Perhaps by saying THANK YOU VI KEELAND FOR FOREVER EXCEEDING MY EXPECTATIONS!
This novel was my first solo book by Vi, and won’t be my last. It was the perfect mix of sweet, sexy, saucy and sentimental! The fours S’s apparently but I’m going with it because they made this book as addictive as a bar of chocolate!
The meetcute was maybe one of my favourites ever! Reese is on a boring date and is complaing to her friend when a guy over hears calling her out on her bullshit. What she doesn’t expect after that touchy interaction was for her eyes to keep starting over to the hottie that called her out on being rude and then somehow make himself comfortable next to her – turning that boring date into a double date with an apparently old high school friend and sweetheart!
The stories Chase say have me laughing and grinning, his charm is enigmatic and bleeds out of the pages. So much so I can’t fault Reese for smitten and stalking the guy weeks later on Facebook. And let me tell you that mini stalking comes to bite her back in a funny way!
But that’s just where the fun begins their lives enterwine and I won’t spoil because the fun of this novel is not knowing how things are going to lead. Chase and Reese both have a little baggage but they don’t want it to hold them back from living.
Chase is more ready to move forward and knows the thing he has for Reese isn’t something to let go of, however when he becomes her new boss she’s hesitant to let him into her life. But he’s charming and charismatic and well he’s determined.
I love the flirty, almost long foreplay they have going on. They were meant to be and I love how the story unfolds. They both unravel their hearts to each other over time and somehow become aquantiences to much more. However the past is within inches and comes crashing into their world as their insecurities beat reality.
Nevertheless it ends so freaking beautifully that I couldn’t shut up about the novel! There’s not a thing I didn’t love about this book, (maybe the fact we didn’t see more about Chase’s pierced nip ring lol) but otherwise I’m one satisfied reader with a heavy heart full of love and laughter!

Blurb:
The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn’t exactly make a good impression.
I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date.
He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice.
So I told him to mind his own damn business—his own tall, gorgeous, full-of-himself damn business—and went back to my miserable date.
When he walked by my table, he smirked, and I watched his arrogant, sexy ass walk back to his date.
I couldn’t help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.
When the gorgeous stranger and his equally hot date suddenly appeared at our table, I thought he was going to rat me out.
But instead, he pretended we knew each other and joined us—telling elaborate, embarrassing stories about our fake childhood.
My date suddenly went from boring to bizarrely exciting.
When it was over and we parted ways, I thought about him more than I would ever admit, even though I knew I’d never see him again.
I mean, what were the chances I’d run into him again in a city with eight million people?
Then again…
What were the chances a month later he’d wind up being my new sexy boss?
