Bailey by Ella Frank

Is it really the end? I don’t want it to be over, is that so much to ask?

Well that may be the most melodramatic I’ve started a review but it’s the truth, I seriously don’t want this series to be over. My heart already aches writing this review because I’ve gained such an emotional connection to these fictional men I never want to let go.

Before I begin, I personally think you can read Henri and Bailey books as standalones to the rest but for the full experience it’s better to jump to book 1, Robbie. Now for the rest of my review, to avoid confusions the titles will be in caps.

Henri and Bailey wrapped around my heart from the moment I met them in the end of Book 4 and then even tighter in HENRI! I loved continuing their journey of falling in love through BAILEY, they did not let me down.

In BAILEY we get to dive deeper in Bailey and his past along with how becoming more committed to man with as many hidden secrets as Henri has is. And let me tell you falling in love with him is divine.

So many moments I couldn’t stop smiling, or swooning or crying. I won’t like I shed some tears again and that is the power of Ella Frank. Her words dig deep through layers you didn’t even know where there until you’re realising it’s too late.

Henri as much as he never believes someone could love him with his rough past with his ex, Priest and upbringing he finds himself giving over to Bailey in ways he never imagined. The confessions of love was probably one of my favourites to have ever read just because of how raw and real it was.

Raw and real, two words I’d forever use to describe Ella’s writing as I always say her characters and worlds are so realistic that if you were to use a ficitional relationship on what standards you should have, this would be it.

If you’re looking for a story full of heart and heat (because damn things fire up between these two) and love and some action in other forms, this is the book for you!

I’m sad to see this ending come but grateful we got visits from past characters and a conclusion for two men that deserve the world!

Here’s to more… I see you Xander and Sean…

– Book Fanatic

Blurb:

Black and white. Right and wrong.
That’s how Craig Bailey has always lived his life.
The son of a fallen, decorated police officer,
He’s had no choice but to follow the rules.
Until he met the ultimate bad boy
and decided to follow him instead.

Henri Boudreaux is everything Bailey never knew he wanted.
Mysterious, sexy, and hiding more secrets than friends.
He’s exactly the kind of man Bailey knows could break his heart.

But there’s a vulnerability to Henri that calls to Bailey.
A longing for a connection that Bailey is unable to resist.
And while Bailey has always lived his life on the straight and narrow, he is now beginning to understand that falling in love is never so black and white.
