An age gap romance full of heart and heat.
Grayson is a broody business man. However when he bumps into River, she meets all his rough edges with a softness that has him crumbling and sneaking out smiles too.
River has always felt alone, never apart of this world since her childhood was so unorthodox. She’s missing something and when she meets Grayson again years later after he saved her life when she was 12, she thinks that maybe that missing piece has been found.
They come together even when so much wants to keep them apart. They build a connection that even before their own eyes they know is so much more than they wanted.
I loved how the build-up was gradual and full of ease. There were clear reasons for them not wanting to be together, but they face them in ways where they realise life is short and maybe they should just live.
A wonderful story and motivation. A great read and I will pick up Ava Harrison again, seeing as this was my first read.

Blurb:
Eight years ago, I gave Grayson Price a piece of my heart.
To him, I was the strange girl whose mom had just abandoned her.
To me, he was a savior, an anchor, someone who stood beside me on that beach.
The next time I saw him, I was twenty, and he was thirty-six.
He didn’t remember me.
And when he flirted…
I didn’t tell him.
By the time he found out, it was too late.
We tried to deny our desire, but our attraction was too enticing.
Eight years ago, I gave Grayson Price a piece of my heart.
Too bad he’s my dad’s best friend.
